Our Mission: The Arc Nature Coast’s mission is to provide individually tailored quality supports and advocacy for persons with disabilities and their families to promote their self-determination and inclusion in community life.
Our Affiliation: The Arc Nature Coast has been affiliated with The Arc of the United States since 1972. The Arc of the United States was founded in 1950, and is the largest national community-based organization advocating for and serving people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families. With more than 140,000 members and more than 700 state and local chapters nationwide, The Arc is on the front lines to ensure that people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families have the support they need to be members of the community. The Arc, with its rich history in advocacy and services, is comprised of individuals with developmental disabilities, family members, professionals in the field of disability and other concerned citizens. There are 33 local chapters of The Arc throughout Florida. The Arc Nature Coast serves Hernando, Pasco, and Sumter Counties.
